Terms of service

1. About us

This website is operated by STXSTX LTD ("STXSTX", "we", "us" or "our"). We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15809669. Our registered office is Hillcroft, Crete Road West, Folkestone, England, CT18 7AA.

You can contact us at support@stxstx.co.uk or through our Contact page.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform used to offer our products and process orders.

2. These terms

These Terms of Service apply when you use our website or place an order with us. They should be read together with our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these terms limits any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

3. Using our website

You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, scrape content without permission, or use the website in a way that infringes the rights of another person.

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. If you are under 18, an order must be placed by a parent or legal guardian.

We may restrict or suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance or suspected misuse.

4. Product information

We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions, photographs, measurements, compatibility information and prices are accurate. Colours and appearance may vary slightly because of lighting, production differences and screen settings.

Products may be updated or discontinued and availability is not guaranteed until an order is accepted. We may limit quantities where reasonably necessary.

Goods supplied to consumers must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for any purpose made known to us. Nothing in these terms changes those rights.

5. Vehicle parts, compatibility and installation

Where a product is intended for a vehicle, you are responsible for checking that it is suitable for your exact vehicle, model, year, specification and any modifications already fitted. Contact us before ordering if compatibility is unclear.

Vehicle parts should be fitted and checked by a suitably competent person. Safety-critical, electrical, braking, steering, suspension, fuel and heat-management components should be installed by a qualified professional where appropriate.

Modified and motorsport vehicles can involve additional risks. You are responsible for checking road legality, insurance requirements, competition rules and any effect on a vehicle warranty. This section does not exclude liability for a defective product or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges and the total price will be shown at checkout before you place your order.

We may change prices at any time, but a price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.

You must use a payment method that you are authorised to use. Payment may be subject to checks by Shopify, the payment provider and your bank.

7. Placing an order and contract formation

Submitting an order is an offer to buy the products in your basket. An automated order confirmation confirms that we have received your order; it does not by itself mean that we have accepted it.

Unless we expressly accept your order earlier, a contract is formed when we send a dispatch confirmation. Pre-order and made-to-order products may be accepted separately before dispatch where this is made clear to you.

We may decline or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, delivery details are incomplete or outside our delivery area, there is an obvious pricing or description error, we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised resale, or we cannot lawfully fulfil the order. If payment has already been taken, we will refund the affected amount.

8. Order information and changes

You are responsible for providing complete and accurate contact, billing and delivery information. Contact us immediately if you notice an error. We cannot guarantee that an order can be changed once it has entered production, processing or dispatch.

9. Dispatch and delivery

We currently deliver to United Kingdom addresses only.

Standard orders are usually dispatched within two working days. Our working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays.

Made-to-order products are normally delivered within 7–10 working days. Estimated dispatch or release information for pre-order products is shown on the relevant product page.

Delivery services, prices, estimated transit times, free-delivery eligibility and delay information are set out in our Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

Responsibility for the goods remains with us until they are delivered to you or to another person you have identified to receive them.

10. Pre-orders and made-to-order products

Dates shown for pre-orders are estimates and may change because of production, supplier or carrier delays. We will provide an update if there is a significant change.

A product being produced after you order does not automatically remove your cancellation rights. However, goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation rights where the law permits.

11. Cancellations, returns and refunds

For most goods bought online, consumers normally have 14 days after receiving the goods to tell us they wish to cancel, followed by a further 14 days to return them. Legal exceptions may apply, including to certain personalised or custom-made goods.

Return instructions, eligibility requirements, refund timing and any return postage responsibilities are explained in our Refund Policy.

Your rights regarding faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods are separate from change-of-mind returns and are not limited by our Refund Policy.

12. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible if an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect. Include your order number, a description of the issue and clear photographs where relevant.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, the available remedy may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund. Where goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied, we will cover reasonable return costs where required by law.

13. Promotions and discount codes

Promotions and discount codes may be subject to separate terms, expiry dates, product exclusions, minimum spends and usage limits. Unless stated otherwise, offers cannot be combined and have no cash value.

We may withdraw or correct a promotion affected by an obvious error, misuse or fraud. This does not allow us to retrospectively alter an order that has already been accepted except where permitted by law or agreed with you.

14. Intellectual property

The website and its content, including branding, logos, graphics, product artwork, photographs, text and software, are owned by or licensed to STXSTX LTD and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may view and use the website for personal shopping purposes. You must not reproduce, sell, distribute, modify or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission.

15. Reviews, comments and submitted content

If you submit a review, photograph, comment or other content, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe another person's rights.

You retain ownership of your content but grant STXSTX LTD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display it for operating and promoting our business. We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive or otherwise inappropriate.

16. Third-party services and links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply. We are not responsible for content or services controlled independently by those third parties.

This does not remove our responsibility for third-party services we use to fulfil our contract with you, including payment processing and delivery arrangements.

17. Personal information

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Shopify, payment providers, Royal Mail and other service providers may process information where necessary to operate the store, take payment and fulfil orders.

18. Website availability and errors

We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We may temporarily suspend or change website features for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

If we discover a material error affecting an order, we will contact you and explain the available options. Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies provided by law.

19. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

Our products are supplied for private use unless we agree otherwise in writing. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or business interruption arising from a consumer purchase.

We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised alteration, failure to follow instructions or normal wear and tear, except where the damage also results from a defect or breach for which we are legally responsible.

20. Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, carrier disruption, industrial action, supplier failure, fire, flood, cyber incidents or government action.

We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the event and contact you where it materially affects your order. Your legal rights, including any right to cancel because of a significant delay, remain unaffected.

21. Restricting use of the website

We may suspend or terminate your access to the website if you materially breach these terms, misuse the website, threaten its security or use it unlawfully. Any rights and obligations relating to an existing order will continue where appropriate.

22. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to our business, website or legal obligations. The version in force when your order is placed will normally apply to that order. Changes will not retrospectively alter an accepted order unless required by law or agreed with you.

23. Severability and waiver

If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not mean that the right has been waived.

24. Governing law and disputes

These terms and any contract between you and STXSTX LTD are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you retain any mandatory consumer protections available to you and may bring proceedings in the courts applicable where you live.

Please contact us first if you have a complaint so that we can try to resolve it.
